SIFE provide benefits for students, the academic mentor, the university, businesses and the community.

Students
SIFE helps the students involved by providing the opportunity for personal and professional growth. Students can expand their networks by getting to know other students, academics and business people in the local community as well as nationally and internationally. Students develop their skills and experience by participating in SIFE, particularly leadership and teamwork skills. It also gives a satisfaction knowing you have made a difference in your community by helping othes.

SIFE is a good opportunity to demonstrate the skills that you have and it allows you to put the skills learnt in university into practice and deepen your understanding of your studies.

Business
Businesses will benefit from SIFE by getting access to high achievers for recruitment through participation as a Business Advisory Board member to a SIFE team or as a judge at the National Competition and World Cup. They will also benefit from increased community awareness of the role of business in the community, and marketing an organization to the wider business/university community.

University
SIFE will benefit the university by providing enhanced learning opportunities for students, enhanced links with the business community and increased public profile.

Community
Communities can benefit from SIFE by gaining access to expertise through students' projects, enhanced opportunities for financial independence, better understanding of the importance of enterprise and gaining opportunity to observe and experience practical corporate social responsibility.
